Anticipating Baby Girl

Anticipating Baby Girl

Maybe it’s something about expecting a baby girl, but I wanted to dress up this time around for our maternity photos. Our family photography Nadia, a good friend of ours, captured these special moments for us that we will forever treasure. Thank you so much Nadia for making me look so beautiful!

Baby girl is also a rainbow baby. We lost an accident baby sometime around Chase was a year and a half… we were really not ready then. But now seeing Chase’s enthusiasm and excitement, we’re looking forward to meeting baby sister too.

We started off with a few photos in the tall grass just in the park beside our house. All the wildflowers were in bloom, and I loved this off-shoulder dress I got from Nothing Fits But! I never knew I would rock an off-shoulder dress, but I’m so glad I did!

Chase wasn’t too keen on getting photos taken, I think he was a bit tired and it was also quite warm that day. So here’s some photos of how Chase really feels about being a big brother >.<

So after taking a few photos, we went inside to take some more in the nursery which is still in the works. I will definitely blog about the nursery tour once I’m done working on it :) I’m just about wrapping up my work so I can go on maternity leave, so I cannot wait to share with you what we’ve planned for baby girl’s room. For now, a sneak peek….

This shot of Chase kissing my belly is one that I will forever treasure. Chase was actually the one who had known it was a baby girl in my belly from the very beginning. If he never expressed interest in having a baby sister, I’m sure we would’ve never considered it. But so, so, grateful for this new season, scared for the transition, but will be relying heavily on God’s grace to see us through :)

xoxo,
