Jasiel's 2nd Birthday

Jasiel turned 2! Time truly flies. I made a reel earlier this week and watching all the memories, it seemed like only yesterday she turned one and she already looked so much bigger and older. This past week, she was also transitioning to her toddler class at daycare.
For her 2nd birthday we had a simple gathering at home. We had a puppy theme as Jasiel recently has been loving “taking care” of things, whether it’s babies or puppies or anything, really and thought it would be cute to have an adopt a puppy party. We got her a mini bounce castle from Play Smol which is so cute and really matches our home aesthetic. She really loved it! We are looking forward to rainy days and a lot of jumping/hopping on this little house, plus it deflates/inflates really easily.
For decor, I got this $10 kit from Target to make a balloon arch. Thanks to a balloon machine we borrowed, it was very easy to inflate them and it came with a plastic strip that you can put the balloons on. Way easier than when I made Chase’s when he turned 3 years old! We got the cake from Daily Delicious, and it was a light and fluffy oreo sponge cake. The favors were puppies from Douglas Cuddle Toys because you could choose the breed and thought it would be cute if it was set up like this. Inside of course had some treats as well. I also made some “leashes” with names on them which are personalized keychains to match the theme.
We’re so grateful that Jasiel got to hang out with her cousins and grandparents through this past few weeks. She’s been over the moon hanging out with them and we’ve been loving seeing her create lots of memories!
Funny story about her #2 balloon. I had purchased them a while back, alongside Chase’s 6 year old birthday party. However, the moment it was inflated it exploded in the car. The store was kind to replace it, but it was with a silver balloon. That night, while Jasiel was holding the balloon and showing her friends, the knot tying the balloon at the top unravelled! So it flew up into the air as it was filled up with helium. Hopefully third time’s the charm as I overnighted the number and got it blown up before we had people over.
Jasiel, you are strong and fierce, but also creative and kind. We pray that you will grow up loving the Lord with all your heart and draw your strength from the Lord always.
Love, Mommy and Daddy.
