Jasiel's First Birthday Party

I can’t believe I’m posting this a year after her actual birthday. It seems like it was just yesterday that she turned one! We celebrated at The Kent Vancouver, at their gallery because it was a beautiful big white space that we could decorate to our heart’s desire. We didn’t really hav a “theme” per se, but it was just all things in pretty in white, blush, and nude shades.

Her dress and headband was from Noralee, an extension brand from Rylee & Cru which I think is a beautiful brand for nicer event clothing. I get Chase’s formal clothing from them, too. Her shoes were from Luca Elle Boutique, a brand I loved and supported until it closed down earlier this year.

The decor of the balloons, arch, and the tables were from Orantes Designs, they were really lovely to work with! She even decorated the kids tables and had mini chivari chairs. For favors, we did cotton candy from Kotton Candy Co, and of course I made my own sticker with her cute face on it haha. I did also work on Jasiel’s welcome table, with props I already had (haha), and made a board with her monthly milestone photos and things “she did” or had.

As it was a blank space, we rented a bubble dome, ball pit and soft play area from Luxe Bubble Play, and it turned out so nice. I loved how everything looked and was on point with the aesthetic. I actually kept most of the balloons and they adorned my warehouse for a good few months.

The bubble dome was really unique. We were one of the first few that got to try it, and it was really fun to play with all the balloons flying around you. It really made a dreamy atmosphere! The delicious cake was by Oongi Jonggi. To top it off, we had the ice cream cart from Earnest Ice Cream, which is a great deal as they get so much ice cream. I also purchased take home containers so a lot of people had tons of ice cream to bring home.

Aside from the two tier cake, we also ordered a smaller cake for her to “smash” but she ate it so gently so it wasn’t quite a smash haha! Photos by the amazing Nadia Hung, as usual :)

And of course, I designed her birthday invitation. We just digital ones, but I’m so grateful that I get to design this little piece for her birthday :) So blessed to celebrate the life of this strong little girl.

xoxo, Karla
